PartCrew is where Roblox developers meet, chat and work together, and many of them are young. This page covers the scams to watch for, what to keep private, how to pay people safely and what to do when something feels wrong.
Common scams
- Fake login pages. A link that looks like Roblox or Discord but goes to another site, often with “verify”, “login” or “free Robux” in it. PartCrew blocks the known kinds in chat, but always check the address before you sign in anywhere. Real Roblox sign-in only happens on roblox.com.
- Free Robux and free Nitro. There is no such thing. Anyone offering it wants your account.
- “Pay me first” commissions. Someone asks for the full price before doing any work, then disappears. Pay in parts as work is delivered.
- Fake buyers. Someone offers a lot for your work, then sends a fake payment screenshot or asks you to “send it back”. Check your own balance, not their screenshot.
- “Run this script” or “try my plugin”. Scripts and plugins from strangers can steal your account or your game. Read the code or ask someone you trust first.
- Pressure and urgency. “Do it now or the deal is off” is a warning sign. A real teammate can wait for you to check.
What to keep private
- Your password, your two-factor codes and your backup codes. Nobody from PartCrew, Roblox or Discord will ever ask for them.
- Your real full name, your school, your address, your phone number and photos that show where you live.
- Your age, if you’re asked by someone you don’t know. You never have to answer.
- Your parents’ payment details. Never use them without asking.
Paying and getting paid
PartCrew doesn’t handle payments. When you agree a commission or a revenue share with someone:
- Write down what will be made, by when and for how much before work starts. A task on your board with the details works well.
- Split the payment into parts: some at the start, some halfway, the rest on delivery.
- Use Roblox group payouts or another method you trust, and keep records. The expense tracker in workspace settings can log what you paid.
- After a commission is finished, leave an honest review so others know who to trust.
Your safety controls
- Who can message you. In Settings, open Privacy and safety and pick Everyone, Friends and people in your workspaces, Friends only, or Nobody. New accounts start on Friends only.
- Blocking. Block someone from their profile or from Privacy and safety. They can’t message you, send friend requests or see your online status, and they aren’t told.
- Signed-in devices. See every phone and computer signed in to your account and sign out any you don’t recognise.
- Away mode. Take a break without anyone handing you tasks.
For workspace owners and moderators
- Word filter. Block words and phrases, or hold those messages for a moderator to check.
- Slowmode. Limit how often each person can post in a busy channel.
- Raid protection. Pause all invite links and join codes with one switch. It also turns on by itself if lots of people join at once.
- Join requirements. Ask for a verified email or a linked Roblox account before someone can join.
- Trial members. New members can start on a trial that ends unless someone keeps them on.
- Ban appeals. Banned members can ask once for a second chance, and you decide.
How reporting works
Use the flag on any message, profile or listing to report it. Reports about a workspace go to its moderators. Reports about direct messages, profiles and listings go to the PartCrew team. You get a notification when a report is handled, and the person you reported isn’t told who sent it.
If someone threatens you, asks for photos, or makes you feel unsafe, stop replying, block them, report them and tell a parent or another adult you trust. If you think someone is in danger right now, contact your local emergency number.
